Iron Hill Press
With the increasing prevalence of digital media, the design and layout of actual, printed books may be a dying art. But we love books - we love reading books, we love designing books. So as long as they're printing books, we'll be here to help build them. Working with a publication company has allowed us to do incredibly varied graphic design, based on the theme of the book or study curriculum we're working on. Way back in 2010, we helped launch a curriculum company called Youth Ministry 360 - in heroic, James Bond/Jason Bourne style. From there, YM360 grew into producing camps (as Generate Camps) and multiple books and studies for adults (as Iron Hill Press). We've been with them every step of the way and are honored that they keep trusting us so many years later.
Here's an interesting thing about being a freelance graphic design agency. We've been unbelievably lucky to do a lot of fun, exciting work. It's the kind of work you fill up a portfolio with. But very often, for every bright, colorful cover design there are 200 pages of interior body copy, worksheets, instructional onesheets, and informational pieces. One of the secrets to success and longevity is being able to see these, not as boring or beneath you - but as just another problem to solve. Effectively integrating peripheral pieces into the overall design system is every bit as important as the initial concept and design.
